Mark Lee strengthens the Broncos

The 33-year-old left-shooter (182 cm, 86 kg) is no stranger to Italy, having spent three months with Fassa in the 2015/16 season before moving to SønderjyskE in the Danish first division. At the Ladiners he was Luca Felicetti's strike partner, and the Broncos' coach Ivo Jan also knows him very well from their time together at the Eisspiraten Crimmitschau (DEL2), where Jan helped out as an assistant coach at the end of last season after his dismissal in Graz.

With 14 goals, 19 assists and 33 points in 41 games, Lee was the player with the highest points per game for the Ice Pirates last season, and in the relegation campaign he still managed 3 goals and 4 assists in addition to a strong two-way performance 11 Play. For this reason, he was a dream player for the Broncos head coach this summer. The Canadian wanted to try to find a place in a higher league, but so far has not received an offer that corresponds to his wishes. So the Broncos club management contacted them again and this time an agreement was quickly reached.

His experience from 144 games in the Finnish first division, in which he scored 25 goals and provided 80 assists, will certainly be a great asset to the Wildpferde squad in this very tight Alps Hockey League season," says the Sterzing press release.

Mark Lee arrived in Vipiteno on Thursday and will most likely make his debut on Saturday at the home game against Val Gardena.
