The commitments of further foreign players will follow in the next few weeks. HCB Südtirol Alperia is currently looking at a long list of players who could form the future squad, of course taking into account the existing budget. Ron Chipperfield - great former player and coach of the White Reds - today an agent for over 150 players in the most important championships (DEL, Finland, Sweden, KHL, Switzerland, etc.), also confirmed in a conversation with sports director Dieter Knoll that one should wait a few more weeks to hire new foreign players. The funds available only allow the HCB to become active on the transfer market once the best European teams have completed their squads. Marco Insam and Hannes Oberdörfer are a chapter in themselves. Insam has just returned from a try-out in Finland at Porin Ässät and expects to hear back within the next week. If the answer is positive, the HCB will undoubtedly lose a figurehead on the ice, but this will be offset by the honor that a player from their own youth will be able to play in such an important championship. Oberdörfer, on the other hand, has moved to Innsbruck and is currently considering whether he should resume his university studies. He is in constant contact with management.
