With trial contract: Foxes bring in Danish international

Poulsen signed a trial contract with the Talferstädters that is valid until September 19th. For the Dane, it is a return to the EBEL after the winger was already on the ice for the Graz 2015ers in the 16/99 season.

The 28-year-old attacker (186 cm x 95 kg) is considered a good skater who has a strong goal instinct. Poulsen began his career at the Danish first division club Herning Blue Fox, where he was promoted to the fighting team in 2005 and became champions twice in his first three years. After a two-year stint with the Nordsjælland Cobras (2008/09 and 2009/10), he returned to the Blue Fox, where he played a large part in the recent championship title with 82 points in 53 games. This year he also appeared for the Danish national team for the first time, of which he is still an integral part today.

From 2011 to 2015, Poulsen played in the Allsvenskan, the second highest Swedish league, where he collected 202 points in 111 games for IK Oskarshamn. He completed the 2015/16 season with Graz in the EBEL, where he scored 31 points. Last winter, the attacker was active in the top Finnish league and scored 54 points in 15 games for the Pelicans.

“Bolzano is an ambitious club whose goal is always to be in the top places – that’s why I chose the Foxes,” said Poulsen, who describes himself as being helpful to the team. Coach Pat Curcio's verdict: “Morten is skilled with the bat and very intelligent. He also brings a lot of experience, which is very important for us.”

The HCB Südtirol Alperia has been preparing for the new EBEL season since Wednesday. The Danish national player Morten Poulsen, whose signing the “Foxes” announced on the first day of training, will also be there in the future.
