Moffatt versus Hughesman: The duel of the top scorers

Luke Moffatt and Adam Hughesmann already earned reputations as goal scorers at their previous positions. In the summer of this year, the two young North Americans joined Serie A at the same time. And both hit right away. Moffatt is one of the few real bright spots in HC Gröden's difficult first phase of the season, while Hughesmann is emblematic of WSV Vipiteno's soaring heights. Both have played 16 championship games so far. Both have scored 12 goals. And both sometimes have 20 assists to their credit. As a result, the 23-year-old Moffatt and Hughesman, who is one year older, jointly lead the Serie A scorers.

On Thursday the eagerly awaited duel between the two exceptional strikers will take place in the Weihenstephan Arena. In the two previous meetings, Moffatt scored once, while Hughesmann scored a whopping three times. The Broncos won both duels.
