Numbers that some teams in higher leagues can only dream of. The geographical factor, i.e. the proximity between Cavalese and Neumarkt, of course also plays a decisive role - as does the fact that the Cavaliers and Fiemme have been the crowd pullers in the IHL for years. What also fuels the euphoria is the history of the two teams: The Cavaliers, who have existed for three years, are in the IHL final for the first time, while the Fiemme supporters have been waiting to take part in the final since 1983 (!). Ultimately, it doesn't matter what reasons contribute to this boom. The important thing is that after the last two years with few spectators due to the coronavirus, there is ice hockey euphoria again. The relegated one FISG communication The Italian national ice hockey team began its World Cup preparations on April 6th in Canazei. However, if you consult the official channels of the Italian ice sports federation FISG, there is no sign of this. No announcement, no nominations, nothing. The fans and media representatives are in the dark. Greg Ireland's team, who trains his men through tough sessions in the first preparation phase, has already completed the first training block.
