Patrick Killeen remains a Rittner - Ebner is leaving

The 27-year-old Patrick Killeen impressed to the fullest in his first season with the “Buam”. The Canadian made a significant contribution to Rittner's “double” with his saves. In the basic round, the 1,92 m tall goalkeeper had a catch rate of 91,9%, and in the playoffs he was even able to increase this value to a strong 92,6%. In 47 competitive AHL games this year, the Canadian kept six clean sheets. Only ex-Rittner Frederic Cloutier and Pustertal goalie Thomas Tragust kept the same number of clean sheets.

In his past career, Killeen played in 152 championship games in the OHL, 7 games in the American Hockey League and 120 in the ECHL. The Canadian was also drafted nine years ago as No. 180 in the sixth round by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Before the 27-year-old from Ontario moved to Klobenstein, he completed two seasons with a total of 29 appearances in the Canadian University League CIS and was voted into the All-Star team and the league's best goalie in his first season.

Fabian Ebner leaves the “Buam” Fabian Ebner, however, will no longer be there next year. The Eppan defender will leave the team after two successful seasons. He will start studying abroad in the future and will therefore take a shorter time. The Rittners have already found a replacement for the 25-year-old Überetscher in Brad Cole.

Patrick Killeen remains a Rittner - Ebner is leaving

Another important support remains in Klobenstein. The AHL and Italian champion Ritten also confirmed its Canadian goalkeeper Patrick Killeen for the coming season. Defender Fabian Ebner, however, is leaving the team for study reasons.
