Pustertal ends the basic round in 1st place

The Pusterers were 1:2 behind against Fassa until a quarter of an hour before the end of the game, but then turned up the heat and won 4:2. Taggart Desmet shone as a two-goal scorer, with Rob Sirianni and Christian Willeit scoring the other two goals. It was Sirianni's 26th goal of the season, only Alleghe's Mac Faulkner has scored more times this year (31 goals).

Thanks to this victory, the “Wolves” will start the play-offs from pole position. Second place goes to Ritten (74 points), Bozen (72) and Asiago (71). The Rittner lost today away from home without Dan Tudin against their direct rivals Asiago 4:5 after extra time. After just ten minutes of play, the Italian champions were already leading 3-1, but Rolly Ramoser equalized to make it 4-4 five minutes before the final siren. In extra time, Adam Henrich finally decided the match for the home team. Bolzano was free of play today.

The fight for the eighth and final play-off place also remains extremely exciting. After the 6-2 win against Valpellice, Alleghe is now only a single point behind Cortina. On Saturday, Cortina hosts Asiago, while Allegh is a guest at the ritten. On the last matchday there will be a direct duel between these two teams in Alleghe.

Pustertal and Bozen, on the other hand, play away on Saturday. The Pusterers are guests in Torre Pellice, Bolzano meets Fassa in Alba di Canazei.
