Pustertal turns the derby against Vipiteno

The Pusterers improved two days after their spectacular 6:4 win over champions Asiago. The home side from Vipiteno got off to a better start: after just under six minutes the bell rang for the first time in the Puster box and Tobias Kofler scored the early 1-0 for the Broncos. For a long time, the HCP couldn't find an answer to the deficit; it was only in the middle third that Collins' team managed to convert their many chances into goals. First, Justin Maylan equalized (30'), four minutes later Armin Helfer gave the guests a 2-1 lead. With this lead we went into the last 20 minutes. Vipiteno was behind, but by no means gave up. On the contrary: the Wipptalers created numerous opportunities, put the HCP in a lot of trouble, and the only problem was converting their chances. The Wolves were completely different, as they made it 3-1 with one of their few relief attacks and thus decided the game. After the mixed performances, HC Pustertal is well on its way to turning the corner – at least in terms of results. Sterzing, on the other hand, is losing more and more ground in the fight for third place after the second “zero” this week, especially since Asiago retained the upper hand against Valpellice with 6:2 and is now only two points behind the Wipptaler team. Pustertal turns the derby against Vipiteno

HC Pustertal seems to have increasingly freed itself from its crisis: on the 33rd matchday, the Wolves put third-placed Vipiteno in their place with 3-1 and thus celebrated their second important victory in just 48 hours.
