Pustertal wins the duel - Neumarkt and Val Gardena lose

The top game of the round between the third in the table and the second in the ranking was like a dance on a knife's edge. Both teams gave each other nothing, the only thing that was lacking were goals in the first two periods - so it remained 0-0 until the last break of the third period. Things really got going in the last 20 minutes: Jesenice took the lead twice, but both times the Wolves had the immediate answer with Bona (49th) and Rabbit (56th). When everything pointed to extra time until shortly before the end, the experienced Bona once again thwarted the Slovenians' plans: The Puster attacker netted the game-winning 31-3 2 seconds before the end - the HCP's three points were therefore in the clear wrapped.

Thanks to the victory, the Wolves shake off Jesenice for the time being. Now Helfer and Co. are already five points ahead of the Slovenians - and are now only one point behind league leader Ritten in second place.
