Revenge failed: “Azzurri” with second defeat against Vityaz

After the 0-8 defeat on Monday evening, Mair's troops had nothing to gain 24 hours later. The Italian national team again managed to keep up with Vityaz for a little more than a third and after 23 minutes the Russians were still leading 0-1. In the second third, the KHL club pulled away to 5-0, thus securing their second win against Italy. The final third remained goalless.

For the Blue Team it was the third friendly defeat after the 2:3 against Avangard Omsk (also from the KHL) last Saturday and the 0:8 on Monday in the first showdown against Vityaz Podolsk.

The Italian national ice hockey team will now be back in action at the “Euro Ice Hockey Challenge” in Hungary from November 2nd to 6th. There Trivellato and Co. meet Poland, Japan and Hungary.
