Ritten again with home advantage at the Continental Cup

The meeting of all Continental Cup participants took place in the Slovakian capital today. It was decided here where the group phases of this European club competition would be held. A Rittner delegation with President Thomas Rottensteiner and General Secretary Birgit Prast was also in the city of 425.000 residents to apply to host the Continental Cup semi-finals for the third time after 2014 and the previous year.

The Rittner, who also organized the super final in Klobenstein in January of this year, won the race again and were awarded the contract. The “Buam” will play in Group E from November 17th to 19th in Klobenstein with the French club Grenoble Bruleurs de Loups, the Kazakhs from Nomad Astana and the winner of Group C. In this group, DVTK Jegesmedvek Miskolc from Hungary, Corona Brasov from Romania, the Spaniards from Txuri Urdin San Sebastian and the winner of Group A meet.

The winner and the group runner-up from Klobenstein, as well as the first two teams in the second semi-final in Denmark, will then qualify for the super final, which will take place from January 12th to 14th, 2018. The venue still has to be defined.

Ritten again with home advantage at the Continental Cup

AHL and Italian champion Ritten will again host the third round of the Continental Cup from November 17th to 19th, 2017. The international ice hockey association IIHF announced this on Saturday in Pressburg (Bratislava).
