Ritten and Val Gardena are extending their winning streaks

Leader Ritten had more trouble than expected in Alba di Canazei against the struggling HC Fassa, but in the end they won 4-3 and inflicted the Trentino team's eleventh defeat in their last twelve games. Simon Kostner and Tommaso Traversa turned the early deficit into a 2-1 lead before Victor Ahlström and Thomas Spinell finally sealed the victory. Fassa only came close again in the final minutes. In the standings, Ritten now leads by five points over pursuer Jesenice.

HC Gröden was also able to take a step up in the table, defeating Bregenzerwald 300-4 at home in front of just over 3 spectators and thus keeping a spark of hope for participation in the playoffs alive. Benjamin Kostner, Radek Deyl and Joel Brugnoli gave the “Furie” the lead three times, but the guests from Vorarlberg were always able to equalize. Only Andreas Vinatzer made the decision four minutes before the end with the score 4:3. This was the fourth win in a row for HCG, which is now in 13th place in the table.

The 21st round of the championship will conclude on Thursday with the home games of HC Neumarkt (against Lustenau) and Broncos Vipiteno (against Asiago).
