Ritten signs Travis Ramsey

Ramsey was born on May 16, 1983 in Lakewood, California. The 1,93 meter tall and 96 kilogram defensive specialist initially played in the AWHL in his youth, where he played a total of 154 games for the Butte Irish, the Great Fall Americans and the Helena Bighorns, collecting 55 scorer points.

In the 2003/04 season, Ramsey donned the Salmon Arm SilverBacks jersey in 67 games in the BCHL. Here the American scored five goals and 22 assists. From 2004 to 2008, Travis Ramsey played in the NCAA for the University of Maine. Here the defender made more than 100 appearances (133). In 2008, the 30-year-old also played in the AHL for the first time, for the Manitoba Moose. For this club, and then for the St. John's Ice Caps, Travis Ramsey played a total of 358 games in the AHL, in which he was able to collect 65 points. In the 2008/09 sporting year, Ramsey was also played in a total of 26 games by the Victoria Salmon Kings ECHL used.

Now the right-hander wants to try his luck in Europe. His first stop is Ritten Sport. By the way, Ryan Ramsay, an attacker who not only has almost the same name as Travis Ramsey, but is also only two days younger, played there last year. The Canadian Ryan Ramsay was only able to play 19 games for the "Buam" due to two persistent injuries - a fate that hopefully will not befall his namesake. By the way, Ryan Ramsay moved to Schwenningen in the DEL in July, where he is coached by Stefan Mair from Bolzano.
