Rittner Buam great! Neumarkt wins South Tyrolean derby

After the defeat against Vipiteno (2:7) two days ago and four games without a win, the negative trend for HC Neumarkt came to an end on Saturday evening against Val Gardena. Nedved opened the scoring for Neumarkt before Muzik and Sullmann scored the equalizer (Eastman) with one each Double counterattacked. The Val Gardena had to accept their third defeat within four days, Neumarkt came within 3 points (with one game more) of the Val Gardena (14th). HC Pustertal, meanwhile, celebrated their fourth win in a row with a 2-1 win over Cortina and thus consolidated fourth place. Double goalscorer Pance was the decisive man for the Wolves in the home win.

Vipiteno loses - Rittner Buam confidently

The Broncos from Vipiteno suffered an away defeat at second-placed Asiago and missed the jump to 8th place, while the Rittner Buam played confidently again and gave the Fassa Falcons no chance. The reigning champions finished first this year with two defeats and two wins in the last week.

Rittner Buam great! Neumarkt wins South Tyrolean derby

The Rittner Buam ended the 2017 ice hockey year as league leaders. Today's AHL game day also saw another South Tyrolean derby planned, this time with HC Neumarkt coming off the ice as the winner.
