The match remained emotionally charged and the guests were able to celebrate taking the lead for the first time thanks to Federico Benetti. The Parco team was now slowly getting a taste of the game and Sean Bentivoglio scored in the 32nd minute to make it 4-2 from Asiago's perspective. Then the hosts were back in control. First Rob Sirianni shortened the score before Brodie Dupont even equalized in the 37th minute. The exchange of blows between the two teams continued in the final section. After 48 minutes, Paul Zanette gave Asiago the lead, but just three minutes later Aquino restored the stalemate. It also lasted in extra time, so it went to a penalty shootout. Paul Zanette kept his nerve there.
