Serie A: The last 60 minutes of the game bring clarity UPDATE

WSV Sterzing and champions Asiago are fighting for the place behind Ritten and Pustertal. The Broncos are currently two points ahead of the team from Veneto and are therefore heading into the difficult away game at Ligakrösus Ritten with a small cushion. Asiago will compete at the same time as the last Cortina. Association reacts to different start times

Shortly before the last match day, the ice hockey association took center stage: to the astonishment of many, the games between Cortina against Asiago and Ritten against Vipiteno were scheduled at different times. Actually an absurdity, since on the one hand the long-distance duel between Vipiteno and Asiago is for third place and on the other hand, according to association rules, all games in the last round must be played on the same day and at the same time. The association reacted to the start times that were being discussed in many places on Friday evening and quickly scheduled all games at 21 p.m. We can only hope that Cortina will comply with the last-minute change.

If Vipiteno and Asiago had the same number of points after the last matchday, the reigning champions would take third place as they had the better goal difference in the previous meetings (3 wins, 3 defeats). Showdown for sixth place

There is no need for any math games in the race for sixth place in the table. The teams from Val Gardena and Valpellice with the same points claim this. However, they will meet in a direct duel on Saturday. The winner in the Pranives Stadium is automatically ahead in the rankings.

The last regular season matchday concludes with the game Fassa against Pustertal. Both teams cannot move up or down in the table.
