Serie A: Eppan wins the derby – Wolves and Val Gardena also celebrate

Valpellice - WSV Vipiteno Weihenstephan The Broncos were badly hit at Valpellice. The home team took a 3-0 lead through Pope, Uronen and Kulmala. When St. Jacques reduced the score to 1:3, the Wild Horses had hope again - which Pope and Campbell nipped in the bud in the final third. For Sterzing it was already the second defeat after the narrow 1:2 in the opening game against Neumarkt.

Milan - HC Pustertal Wolves

There was an away win for the Wolves in Milan. The yellow-blacks put the traditional Lombard club in their place 4-3 in extra time when Helfer scored the much-celebrated winning goal after just 43 seconds. Previously, the Pusterers had to chase down twice in the very competitive game (0:1, 1:3), but Oberrauch & Co. never gave up.

HC Neumarkt Riwega - Cortina

INL champion Neumarkt had to admit defeat to Cortina 3:5 and thus botched their home debut. The Wild Geese were already 0-3 behind after goals from Wunderer, Dingle and De Bettin, but thanks to Lamp, Bustreo and Willeit they came within 3-4 after another goal from Gron, before Dingle made it 5-3 into the empty net made everything clear to the guests.

HC Eppan Pirates - SV Kaltern rothoblaas The Überetscher derby remains in pirate hands. For a long time, the yellow-blue team had a very difficult time against courageous “pikes”. Peruzzo gave Eppan the lead in the first third. After the break, the Kalterer team struck back twice with Kofler and Moren and were now suddenly leading 2-1. Beber and Hazen turned the tide again so that when the second siren sounded, the home team was back in front. In the final third, Piva, being outnumbered, was able to equalize after a few seconds. Simon Lacroix scored the redeeming winning goal for the hosts in the 47th minute of the game.

Rittner Buam-Asiago

The Rittner Buam's home debut went wrong. The champions had to admit defeat to Asiago 1:2 after extra time. The home side tried hard, but were behind for two thirds and always found their master in Marozzi. Simon Kostner equalized in the third period. In extra time, Benetti made the decision in Asiago's favor.

HC Gherdeina valgardena.it - Fassa

HC Gherdeina retained the upper hand in the Ladin derby against Fassa 5-2 and celebrated their second win in a row. The “Furie” started strongly in the well-attended Pranives Stadium and were already leading 20-4 after 0 minutes. In the second half of the game, Fassa struck back again and made it 2:4. But the Val Gardena team confidently rocked the game home and Joel Brugnoli was even able to cosmetic the result in the final third.
