Serie A: Eppan stops the Wolves' winning streak

Kaltern – Vipiteno

The Hechte did not find their way out of the crisis in the home match against Vipiteno either. The second third proved particularly fatal for the people of Kaltern, in which the Broncos scored three times and thus ensured a preliminary decision. Raphael Andergassen reduced the score to 2:3 with a brace in the final third, but the defeat could no longer be averted. In addition to the defeat, the home team had another bitter pill to swallow. This evening Alex Andergassen, Doug Janik (both broken ribs) and Alex Berry (suspected head trauma) were injured.

Neumarkt – Asiago

There was also nothing to gain for Neumarkt on Saturday. The Unterlanders had to admit defeat to Asiago 3-4 in front of their home crowd. The home team showed fighting spirit and staged a furious comeback. Just under ten minutes before the end, Faggioni reduced the score to 3:4. However, Bustreo and Co. were no longer able to score the equalizer.

Eppan - Pustertal

The Pirates showed a strong performance on Saturday, winning 4-3 against HC Pustertal. After two relatively even thirds, the home team could no longer be caught by the wolves in the final period and thus stopped the yellow-blacks' winning streak. They were therefore unable to take sole control of the table.

HC Gherdeina - Valpellice

Meanwhile, Valpellice has caught up with Pustertal and Ritten at the top. Trevor Johnson and Co. retained the upper hand 5-2 at the Pranives Stadium in Wolkenstein. After a difficult start, the Ladins got close to the Piedmontese again at the beginning of the first third, but then they started like fire engines and won the match confidently.
