The Wolves not only narrowly lost the match against Alleghe 0-1 on Friday evening - regular goalie Jean Sebastien Aubin also had to leave the ice injured in the 25th minute after a collision and was subsequently replaced by Hannes Hopfgartner. Not an ordinary ice hockey game, but rather a battle, was what Ritten Sport and Valpellice fought in Klobenstein. The referee awarded a total of 83 penalty minutes in three thirds of the regular playing time. On the other side, Justin Pogge spent a leisurely initial phase. And yet it was Valpellice who took the lead in the 14th minute on the second power play of the evening. After a mistake by Dan Tudin, Di Casmirro stormed towards Pogge's goal, who initially made a save but was powerless to save Rob Sirianni. Afterwards there was also a mini-brawl in front of Paris' goal, in which the guests' goalie did not stand idly by. There were a few penalty times on both sides. Then ice hockey was played again and Durno tried a hammer shot, but Parise was on the post. On the other hand, Dupont did better, with a 4-1 win that, from Valpellice's point of view, made the supposed preliminary decision. But Ritten came close again. First Greg Jacina scored to make it 2:4, before Ingemar Gruber also scored the home team's third goal. This meant the match was completely open again with 20 minutes to go. And the game remained on a knife edge. First, Pietro Canale restored the visitors' two-goal lead, but Delmore and Perna equalized with a double strike in the middle of the final third within 63 seconds for the club from the high plateau. Two minutes before the end, Aquino put the guests in front for the third time - but this time too Valpellice was caught. Kevin Mitchell scored to make it 6:6. Then it went into extra time and then a penalty shootout. Spinell made the decision there.

In the final third, Bozen took the lead for the first time after around two minutes when Wunderer successfully deflected a powerful shot from Hjalmarsson. Cortina bounced back from Wednesday's loss to HC Bozen and returned to winning ways against Milan just 48 hours later. Cortina didn't have Derek Edwardson and Stanislav available, and Milan couldn't use Diego Iori. The Ampezzans started like fire brigades and pushed for the opening goal from the start. Della Bella initially distinguished himself a few times before he had to admit defeat to Andreas Moser after 8.37 minutes. This caught the Milan goalie cold between his leg pads. In the final phase of the first half of the game, Paul Albers was even able to make it 2-0 for the home team. The middle third began with another cold shower for the Lombards, as Luca Felicetti scored for Cortina for the third time in the 23rd minute. Afterwards, coach Adolf Insam took a time out to wake up his men. But the time out didn't change anything. The Ampezzanians controlled what was happening on the ice, but Milan did not wake up from their lethargy. That didn't change in the final third either, which is why the home team were able to record a more than deserved 3-0 win.

Fassa celebrated a cathartic 4-1 win against Pontebba on Friday evening, which was balm for the soul of the Ladins after eight defeats in a row. At Fassa, captain Thomas Dantone returned to the team, while Pontebba was able to make full use of Daniele Odoni's return. The hosts initially put their stamp on the match and tried to score the first goal of the evening. Anthony Grieco immediately had his hands full, but he withstood the attacks from the white and light blue. In the 16th minute, the Friulian goalkeeper had to reach behind himself when Jakub Sindel gave him the disadvantage. With one more man on the ice, Fassa made it 2-0 in the second period when Turon gave up goalie Grieco with a perfect diagonal shot. O'Marra's goal to make it 3-0 after just over half an hour meant the preliminary decision. After the second break, Pontebba's hope arose again when Pajic shot the puck onto Doyle's skate while in the majority, reducing the score to 1:3, but after Marchetti's wonderful goal to make it 4:1, the Trentino team's home win was over.
