On Tuesday, Bozen not only lost the derby against Ritten Sport with 0:3 goals in the ice wave, but after this defeat they also had to hand over the lead in the table to Rob Wilson's team. Thomas Spinell was outstanding, scoring all three Rittner goals. For the home team, striker MacGregor Sharp returned to the team, while the new goalkeeper, Tyson Sexsmith, could not yet be used. The guests, however, were missing three regular players: Ryan Ramsay, Dan Tudin and Alexander Eisath. It was a special game for the record champions' defender Andy Delmore, as he faced his former teammates for the first time. Bozen got off to a better start and had their first good opportunity after two minutes with Balazs Ladanyi, who directed a long-range shot from Hannes Oberd?rfer onto the post. The Rittner's answer followed immediately: Thomas Spinell powered his way through the Bolzano defense, passed to Domenico Perna, but G?nther Hell was able to fend off the Rittner striker's shot. In the 17.30 minute Kevin Mitchell and Ingemar Gruber had to go to the penalty box almost at the same time. Bolzano played with a double majority for 1.45 minutes, but was unable to take advantage of it. Eleven seconds before the first period break, Mark McCutcheon celebrated, but too early because visiting goalkeeper Pogge was able to fend off his shot before the goal line. So after twenty minutes it remained a goalless draw. In the middle third, Ritten had to make do without the injured Matteo Rasom (shoulder problems). The guests could have taken the lead straight away, but Günther Hell fended off Thomas Spinell's shot. The 1-0 for Ritten was in the air and came in the 26th minute: Hell tried to fend off a harmless freeing blow from Spinell with his stick, but missed the mark and so the disc slipped into his goal to make it 1-0 for the guests. Bozen then missed the equalizer with Enrico Dorigatti. On the other side, the strong Thomas Spinell tried again, who was now used as center by his coach Rob Wilson in the first block. In the 30th minute Ritten increased the lead to 2-0. Thomas Spinell was the goalscorer again, this time he directed a hammer shot from Ingemar Gruber into the net. It was the 22-year-old's eighth goal of the season. HCB captain Egger protested violently and had to go to the penalty box for ten minutes. Then Borgatello and Ladanyi failed because of Pogge. Hannes Oberd?rfer, who was outnumbered, also missed a good opportunity to score after a wonderful pass from Gander. In the final third, Bozen threw everything forward, but never really became dangerous. Ritten defended cleverly and finally closed the bag with 49 seconds left with the 3-0 into the empty goal - again through Spinell.

The Pusterer Wolves confidently brought Valpellice to its knees 4-1 on Tuesday evening - even though they were 83-0 behind after just 1 seconds. Thomas Erlacher was missing from the home team, as was the long-term injured Patrick Bona. As a surplus foreigner, Rok Pajic had to sit in the stands. Valpellice was able to compete in full – for the first (!) time this season. The guests couldn't have wished for a better start. With Joe Cullen in the penalty box, Valpellice let the scoreboard circulate well and Slavomir Tomko was there with a hammer shot from the blue line: 1-0 after 1.23:2 minutes. A little later, Rob Sirianni should have made it 0-13 from the visitors' perspective, but he missed miserably. On the other side, Cullen only hit the post and was unlucky in this situation. The second third was also marked by an early goal. Willeit netted after just 25 seconds and equalized. Now the Wolves took the helm and it was Max Oberrauch who shot the yellow-blacks into the lead in the 28.59th minute. The Pusterers didn't give in, on the contrary, they went one step further. This time Armin Hofer scored (40). After that, the home team, the Pusterer team, were closer to their fourth goal than Valpellice was to their follow-up goal - but after 44 minutes the HCP remained two-goal ahead. In the final third, the Pusterers controlled the action and struck for the fourth time of the evening in the XNUMXth minute with Joe Jensen, who capitalized on exemplary preparatory work from Joe Cullen. That was the cat in the bag. After that the game got hectic again: Slavomir Tomko will have to miss the next match against Alleghe because of a stick puncture.

Asiago regained the top of the table in the relegation round on Tuesday evening thanks to an easy 6-2 win against Pontebba. The team from Veneto, which had suffered two defeats in a row before the national team break, was able to play fully. Coach Parco sent goalkeeper Tyler Plante into the stands as a surplus foreigner. Miroslav Skovira made his season debut for the Friuli team, while Simon Fabris took the place between the posts. The home team got off to a flying start and were already leading 2-0 in the fourth minute. First, Layne Ulmer scored (2.23), before Daniel Sullivan added just 57 seconds after the opening goal. Pajic's troops were unable to withstand the pressure as the Veneto club created one great chance after another. In front of the goal, the Asiago players squandered the good opportunities in spades. And whoever doesn't score the goals gets them. It was the same in this match, because in the 15th minute Miroslav Guren had a flash of inspiration and reduced the score to 1:2. However, the guests' joy lasted exactly 74 seconds, as Dave Borrelli restored calm to 3-1. The same picture in the second third. Asiago created chance after chance, Pontebba concentrated on defending. Sean Bentivoglio had the first opportunity, after which Paul Zanette should have made it 4-1 when he was outnumbered. Pontebba had two more men on the ice for 53 seconds in the middle third, but was unable to capitalize on it. In the 37th minute the hosts were rewarded for their efforts. Federico Benetti gave Fabris the loss after he excelled at a Rigoni shot. In the early stages of the final third, Enrico Miglioranzi also joined the list of goalscorers. After 47.59 minutes, Matteo Galtarossa took the place of Simon Fabris in the Pontebba goal, who left with physical problems. Galtarossa had to fall behind in the 51st minute when Benetti scored for the second time of the evening. However, the guests were still able to score a second consolation goal, which went to Petr Sachl.

Cortina scored a coup on the eighth matchday of the relegation round, winning 2-1 in Milan. The Lombards were missing Edoardo Caletti, who was not selected for disciplinary reasons, while Cortina had to substitute Derek Edwardson. He was canceled with knee problems. The match started very evenly, with few highlights. The Ampezzanians were unable to turn two outnumbered situations in their favor: Raycroft was at the post. When Milan was fully active again, the answer came, but it was too timid. In the final phase of the starting period, Michele Zanatta had the 1-0 on his stick, but he couldn't put the puck into the empty net. The second period started with a few penalties on both sides, but they did not affect the result. As the second half of the game continued, the home team became dangerous, but first Luca Ansoldi and then Manuel Lo Presti left two top-class players unused. Cortina also put pressure on and shot from all positions, but Raycroft was an insurmountable hurdle for the Ampezzan team. The Milan goalie particularly stood out when he had a chance for Christian Menardi. In the 46th minute, the former NHL goalie had to admit defeat when Stanislav Gron gave him the disadvantage. Andrea Moser beat Raycroft for the second time five minutes later. This meant that a preliminary decision had been made. Knackstedt was able to reduce the score to 2-1 a little later, but Cortina cleverly saved the narrow lead over time.
