This time the two teams will fight in a best-of-three series for a place in the playoff quarterfinals. On Thursday evening the Wild Geese had the upper hand 4-0. However, the Wipptalers have proven several times in the past few months that they are in impressive form and can take on any opponent. In addition, the Vipiteno team can rely on home advantage in a possible third game. Nevertheless, they should be careful of the Unterlanders, who have always proven to be stubborn opponents. This was also the case in the last home game against Neumarkt to date, in which the Broncos lost after extra time.

HC Eppan Roi Team - SG Hafro Cortina Eppan and Cortina have known for a long time that they would face each other in the pre-playoff. But there was still a little surprise on Thursday evening. Thanks to the Pirates' success against Fassa and Cortina's simultaneous misstep against Kaltern, the Yellow-Blues climbed to second place in the table and thus enjoy home advantage in the first and possibly third pre-playoff game of the best-of-three series.
