Serie A: Two South Tyrolean derbies guarantee a spectacle

HC Eppan – HC Pustertal

In Überetsch, HC Eppan and HC Pustertal face each other. Although the guests from Brunico are clearly the favorites, the Pirates only proved on Thursday in the Odegar Stadium in Asiago (despite defeat) that they will sell their skin as expensive as possible against the top clubs. The Wolves, for their part, celebrated a clear 6-0 win against Fassa on Thursday, further extending their winning streak that has been going on since January 1st. This shouldn't break on Saturday against the third-placed team in the playoff round.

WSV Vipiteno – Rittner Buam

The second South Tyrolean derby will take place in the Weihenstephan Arena, where the Rittner Buam will be guests on Saturday. The home side want to get back on the road to success as quickly as possible after the slip-up in Torre Pellice and are primarily relying on their home advantage. At home they were also able to surprise leaders Asiago on the seventh matchday of the intermediate round. The Rittner Buam, on the other hand, will do everything they can to keep up with the two top teams.

HC Neumarkt – Asiago

A difficult task also awaits HC Neumarkt, which hosts leaders Asiago. The Wild Geese celebrated their first win of the new year on Thursday against HC Gherdeina and now want to try to trip up the club from the province of Vicenza.

SHC Fassa – HC Gherdeina

There is currently a problem at HC Gherdeina. The Ladins, who have now parted ways with Anthony Nigro, are still waiting for their first win before the ninth round match day. With the 3:7 defeat against Neumarkt, Val Gardena's series of defeats reached another low point. It will be seen on Saturday evening whether they can get back on track against Fassa away from home. A particularly important match, as Val Gardena and Fassa will probably face each other in the pre-playoff.

SV Kaltern - HC Valpellice

The ninth matchday of the intermediate round is completed by Kaltern's home game against Valpellice. The playoffs are a long way off for the Pike. After the clear 1:9 defeat, the Hechte have to show a reaction on the ice.
