Series A2: The top trio shows no weakness

League leaders Val Gardena had to play in Milan after a clear elimination in the semi-finals of the Italian Cup. The Ladins celebrated a 3-1 win with a lot of effort and thus their ninth championship success in a row. Greg Watson and Ivan Demetz made the decision with goals number one and two in the final third.

Sterzing, on the other hand, celebrated a 2-1 win in Eppan and thus consolidated its second place in the table. Thomas Pichler and Oliver Schenk put the Broncos on the road to victory in the first half of the game. The Pirates, on the other hand, never really found their way into the game and only scored in the third period through Peter Campbell.

HC Neumarkt also had more trouble than they would have liked in the away game against EV Bozen. Until ten minutes before the end of the game, the bottom team defied the guests to draw 2-2 before the Unterlanders remembered their strengths and pulled away to 5-2.

SV Kaltern suffered a bitter 3:7 defeat at their table neighbors Turin. The Hechte will therefore have to be content with eighth and penultimate place in the table.
