Series A2: The fight for the top of the table continues

HC Eppan Sarah - SV Kaltern Rothoblaas The Überetscher derby is the most important game of the 14th round. On the ice, the Pirates will try to defend their place in the sun, but against the Hechte - after all, the third force in the second division - that won't be an easy task. The people of Kaltern were recently able to bring EV Bozen to their knees, while Eppan prevailed in Neumarkt. The Pirates won the first leg 3-1. On Sunday, the blue-yellow team will miss Patrick Wallenberg and Jan Waldner, who suffered a strained knee. Daniel Spinell and the young attacker Alex Tauferer (back problems) will be missing from Kaltern.

WSV Vipiteno Weihenstephan - HC Neumarkt Riwega In the Weihenstephan Arena two other candidates face each other who are eligible to win the championship. After both teams suffered defeats last Sunday, this time they will do everything from the first minute to get the three points. The Broncos had to admit defeat to Val Gardena a week ago, while Neumarkt lost out to Eppan. The Wipptalers will feature the two national players Patrick Mair and Tobias Kofler, who are expected to return from Slovenia on Saturday. The use of Hannes Stofner, who is suffering from an intestinal virus, is questionable, while Luca Scardoni and Alex Lanz will certainly be missing. Neumarkt, meanwhile, has plenty to offer, but will have to do without coach Joe West, who was suspended for one match day.

HC Meran Pircher - HC Gherdeina In the MeranArena, two teams, Meran and Val Gardena, face each other who were able to win last Sunday and are therefore going into this match with a lot of self-confidence. Coach Doug Mckay's eagles were able to bring Pergine to his knees, and the Ladins were able to celebrate their victory against Vipiteno after seven defeats in a row. In the first leg, Meran won 3-0 and will almost have their best line-up on Sunday. With the exception of Michael Stocker, the people of Passerstadt have plenty to draw from. Val Gardena's coach Thomas Kostner has completely different injury concerns. He has to do without Fabrizio Senoner, Oliver Schenk and Ivan Demetz. The use of Marco Senoner is also questionable, while Joel Brugnoli and Benjamin Kostner could return to the team.

EV Bozen 84 Groupon- Pergine Solarplus EV Bozen 84 and Pergine face each other in the ice wave. The match will not kick off at the usual time, but will start at 21 p.m. Both teams suffered heavy defeats on the last match day. The White Weasel were brought to their knees by Kaltern, while Pergine lost out in the penalty shootout against Merano. On October 19th, Bolzano prevailed 3-1 - a result that the Talferstadters would of course love to repeat. Christian Timpone and Marcello Platè will be missing from the hosts, while Davide Mantovani will not be able to play for the Trentino team. EV goalkeeper Platè has suffered an adductor strain and will be out for several weeks.
