Series A2: The semi-final show can begin

Two absolutely top teams meet in the semi-final game between Neumarkt and Val Gardena. The Ladins undoubtedly achieved this status with the 3-0 win in the quarter-final series against Pergine. After a turbulent season with several ups and downs, Val Gardena really got back on track in the crucial phase of the season. Erwin Kostner's team has recently shown that it has enormous offensive potential. However, it remains to be seen to what extent the nine-day break in competitive games has affected the form of the Val Gardena players. The rivals from the lower country, however, only had their last appearance last Sunday, which should have given them a huge dose of self-confidence. The “Wild Geese” made a clear statement by winning the Lega Cup. Before the start of the semi-finals, the people of Neumarkt are worried about the use of the ailing top scorer Domenico Perna. If he has to pass, defender Virta would be used again. The second vacant position is between the posts, where Rizzi and Pichler duel. At HC Gröden, however, there is a question mark behind the appearances of Ivan Demetz and Rampazzo.
