Series A2: The Pirates fight their way into the final

One thing in advance: the match between Eppan and Val Gardena kept what it had promised in advance. Fast switching game, tough performances, impressive hits and a heart-stopping finale that had it all.

Although the Überetscher started without their star player, former NHL crack David Hale, it was they who took the lead in the final phase of the first third through Jan Waldner. In the middle section Cvostak equalized for the Ladins, but Wallenberg gave Eppan the lead again. However, Benjamin Kostner scored before the second third siren to equalize again for the valiantly fighting team from Val Gardena. In the final third, both teams fought an exciting battle on equal terms, but no goals were scored. After extra time had passed without a goal, the decision came in a penalty shootout. This was in favor of the Pirates due to Veggiato's goal.

Series A2: The Pirates fight their way into the final

With a 3-2 win after a penalty shootout, HC Eppan secured their second final ticket in the final round of Serie A2 on Saturday evening. Daniele Veggiato converted the decisive penalty in the Neumarkt Würtarena. On Sunday there will be a big showdown with HC Neumarkt from 18 p.m.
