WSV Sterzing Weihenstephan won game one in the fight for the “Coppa di Lega” trophy. In this match, Vipiteno's regular goalkeeper Charles Corsi returned between the posts. The Broncos were missing defender Stefan Ramoser and attacker Daniel Erlacher. Dominik Massar was unable to play for Neumarkt as he was sidelined by a knee problem. The match started with a bang, as the Wild Horses took the lead after 71 seconds. Tobias Kofler gave Caffi the disadvantage. Neumarkt now tried to react, but the Broncos made the space tight. The match remained even in the second half of the game. Highlights were in short supply on both sides. The home team remained in a narrow lead. Neumarkt applied more pressure in the final third and was rewarded for his efforts shortly after half of the final period. Dylan Stanley equalized. The decision came in extra time when TJ Caig scored in the 71st minute to make it 2-1.

HC Eppan won the first quarter-final with a lot of fighting spirit 5:4 after extra time. The Pirates were down 2-4 after two periods, equalized in the final third and ultimately took the win. The home side were able to field fully in the derby, while Kaltern had to give way to Alex Tauferer and Thomas Waldthaler. The last one dropped out with a gastrointestinal virus. In the first part of the game, the Eppaners were the more dangerous team. The hosts took control of the game while Kaltern shifted to counterattacking. The Pirates were also rewarded in the seventh minute. Matias Loppi was sitting in the penalty box when Philipp Platter served his teammate Jan Waldner perfectly and had no trouble making it 1-0. The Kalterer reaction was not compelling and so the Eppan team went into the break with a narrow lead. Kaltern's coach Thomas Sandlin must have found the right words there, because the pikes came out of the dressing room transformed. After just 38 seconds, the Überetscher equalized when they were outnumbered. Steve Pelletier took the shot, Demetz was only able to save briefly and Loppi dusted off. For the Kalterer team it was the seventh goal this season with one less man on the ice. The Hechte even took the lead 59 seconds after the equalizer. This time Alex Andergassen netted. Now the home team stumbled, but they came back when the guests were under the greatest pressure. Jake Newton shot from the blue line and the puck fit perfectly into the top corner. Nothing can be done for Valle Da Rin (28.06). By now it was a real derby. After just over half an hour, Kaltern struck for the third time, this time ex-pirate Lorenz Röggl entered the top scorer list. Shortly before the end of the second third, the congenial duo Pelletier-Loppi struck again. The former played the attacker from Finland so well that he had no trouble placing the hard rubber disc in the Kalterer team's box. In the final third, Eppan threw everything forward and shortened the score in the 54th minute with Daniel Peruzzo. Four seconds before the end of regular time, Jake Newton did what no one actually thought was possible: he scored the equalizer. At this point, Demetz had long since left the Pirates' goal and the blue-yellow team had one more man on the ice. The decision was made in the final phase of extra time. 70 seconds before the end of the game, David Ceresa scored the much celebrated winning goal for the Pirates. Game two is on Sunday in Kaltern.

HC Gröden took advantage of the home advantage in the first playoff quarter-final match against Meran and celebrated an easy victory. The home team was missing the injured Kevin Senoner and the suspended Simon Vinatzer. Meanwhile, the Passerstadt team were able to play fully and were able to send Philipp Kosta to the bench as a backup. Val Gardena clearly left its mark on the first third. In the ninth minute, Benjamin Kostner opened the scoring with a 1-0 lead. A little later, Gabriel Vinatzer increased the lead to 2-0 (10.46), before Ryan Gaucher scored the third goal just 49 seconds later. The Ladins had already placed a heavy burden on victory in the first game. But things were about to get even better for the fans in the Pranives Stadium. Because the show continued in the second half of the game. Ryan Gaucher, Fabrizio Senoner and the outstanding Benjamin Kostner with a brace increased the score to 20-7 in the second 0 minutes. The victory was already in the bag after 40 minutes. After 4-0, Marozzi had enough and cleared his box for Philipp Kosta. In the final third, Taggart Desemt added two goals to make up the result - but nothing changed about the Ladin team's victory. In the first game of the playoff quarter-finals, David Cerese gave Eppan the win against Kaltern, while Val Gardena had no trouble at all with Meran. Sterzing, on the other hand, took the first step towards winning the “Coppa di Lega” trophy thanks to a victory over Neumarkt.
