The second final ticket was at stake between Neumarkt and Val Gardena on Friday evening. Perna was used again for the home team, but Virta had to sit in the stands due to the foreigner regulations. For the Ladin team, however, the suspended Fabrizio Senoner had to pass, while Kevin Senoner returned to the team. Val Gardena was also able to rely on Thomas Spinell from the farm team partner Ritten Sport. Neumarkt - strengthened by the clear win on Wednesday - took control of the game from the start and pushed Val Gardena deep in front of their own goal in the first third. However, Peiti and Perna missed the best chances. Val Gardena only became dangerous when they had the advantage with a hammer shot from Eastman. In the middle section the guests were now definitely in the game and put up a brave fight against the Unterlanders, although Neumarkt still had the better opportunities. After 25.30 minutes, a goal from Perna was disallowed because a player was in the goal area. A short time later, Wallenberg tested Neumarkt goali Rizzi with a dangerous shot. The match now picked up speed: Bertignoll, Gilmozzi and Alex Sullmann once again narrowly missed the Neumarkt lead. Shortly before the second siren, Eastman had to take a shower early after an overly harsh check. The Val Gardena were now struggling and Neumarkt was pushing for the opening goal. After 47.19 minutes, Eric Werner scored the well-deserved 1-0. However, this was only the starting signal for an almost unbelievable final phase: just a few seconds later, Domenico Perna made it 2-0. However, Val Gardena didn't give up and scored through Patrick Wallenberg. After 56.02 minutes, Faggioni restored Neumarkt's two-goal lead. Just 47 seconds later, Schaafsma defeated the home team's goalkeeper. Again only 23 seconds passed and Schaafsma netted again. Immediately before the third siren, the Großgasteiger from Val Gardena kept the score at 3:3 with two brilliant saves against Perna. So both teams had to go into overtime. There, HC Gherdeina showed enormous morale: after Großgasteiger thwarted two more chances and Neumarkt failed at the post, the red-blues suddenly pushed for the winning goal. This was achieved after exactly 68.30 minutes, when Julian Mascarin scored to make it 4:3 and caused the people of Val Gardena to celebrate wildly. They will now play in the first final game in Milan on Sunday.

Series A2: Val Gardena is in the final!

Val Gardena showed incredible morale in the all-important semi-final game against Neumarkt and turned a deficit into a 4-3 win after extra time. Mascarin scored the decisive goal after 68.30. In the final the Ladins will meet Milan.
