Kaltern caused the next surprise and forced a decisive fifth game with a 2-0 win against Eppan. In the second home game, the Hechte had to play alongside Hannes Clementi and Alex Tauferer as well as the suspended Michael Felderer. For the guests, however, Tobias Ebner was taken out of action by the sports court. As for the transfer card players, Tuomo Harjula was allowed to play while Patrick Wallenberg had to watch. At the start of the game, Eppan was outnumbered and got into trouble, but even after this had passed and the yellow-blues were even allowed to play on the power play, they couldn't really break free. Quite the opposite: Matias Loppi scored when he was outnumbered to give Kalterer the lead. This was the Hechte's tenth goal in penalty killing, the eighth scored by the Pichler-Loppi duo. The HCE tried to react immediately, but couldn't really put Kaltern goalie Valle Da Rin in trouble. In the middle section, Ceresa increasingly took over the game design, but always gave the hosts space to counterattack. However, the spectators had to wait until the next goal until the 45.40 minute: Kaltern was awarded a penalty, which was ice-coldly sunk by Brian Belcastro. This was also the decision in this game, because Eppan was unable to overcome coach Sandlin's defense in the final minutes and ultimately had to admit defeat 0-2.

With their first away win in Meran, HC Gherdeina completed their hoped-for semi-finals. Both teams had exactly the same lineups that were on the ice on Wednesday, in short, all players were ready to play. The Ladins found their way into the game better from the start and used their first advantage (Max Ansoldi was in the penalty box) to take the lead through Ryan Gaucher. The eagles seemed visibly shocked and unable to react. However, things were to get even worse, because after 11.47:2, Gabriel Vinatzer from Val Gardena increased the lead to 0-22.45. The Ladins skillfully controlled the action even after the first break. After 28.07 minutes, Mitch Stephens lost out to Meran goalie Marozzi for the third time during a four-on-four situation. The game then became significantly more intense and Meran now held its own physically. This commitment was rewarded after XNUMX:XNUMX minutes with a power-play goal from Daniel Rizzi. However, this was only a temporary flare-up for the Merano team, as Val Gardena had the game back under control in the final third. With his second goal, Vinatzer finally destroyed the last glimmer of hope for the Passerstädter team. The season is now over for the McKay squad.
