Thanks to a strong final section, HC Meran brought Eppan to its knees and thus caused a surprise coup. The “Pirates” had to make do without defender Matthias Eisenstecken, while the Passerstädter team were able to make full use of their potential, as in the previous two play-off games. The game in the Eppan ice stadium was characterized by high tempo from the start, but both teams had great difficulties in scoring. And so the referees only had to note a large number of penalty minutes in the first two thirds. In the second half of the game, Eppan clearly took the reins, inspired by a total of six power play scenes. However, the home team repeatedly failed due to the extremely strong Charles Corsi in the Merano goal. The Überetscher were punished for this negligence in the final third: Max Ansoldi, who had already scored two goals in the last game, gave goalkeeper Mark Demetz another loss after 42.33 minutes. The Merano team didn't let up and increased the lead to 49.33-2 after 0 minutes. This time Gunnar Braito hit the mark. Now Eppan was definitely shaken awake and threw everything forward. The former Meraner Alex Rottensteiner gave the Eppan supporters hope again with the goal. This came to an abrupt end a minute and a half before the end with Jari Löfman's third Merano goal.

With the third win in the third quarter-final game, Val Gardena closed the bag and ended Pergine's season prematurely. The home side were able to rely on the recovered Andreas Wanker and Marco Senoner, but Ivan Demetz and Gabriel Senoner had to pass again. The Trentino team was missing the suspended Stefano Piva, as well as the injured Bosetti and Accarino. The Val Gardena team took control of the game from the start so as not to give Pergine the chance to appear dangerously in front of Großgasteiger's goal. This concept worked in the early stages, even though the Ladins only created a sparse number of chances to score. The fans in the Pranives Stadium had to wait until the 31st minute to be able to celebrate their protégés' first goal. This went to Jamie Schaafsma, who had already scored the winning goal in overtime in Game 2. The Kostner team stayed on the trigger and made it 2-0 before the second third siren through Kevin Senoner. However, the game was far from decided; in the final third, Pergine fought his way back into the game and tied the score with a power play goal from Davide Mantovani. Afterwards, however, Val Gardena didn't allow itself to be disturbed and managed to maintain a narrow lead over time. The traditional club from Wolkenstein has therefore already reached its minimum goal of the semi-finals ahead of schedule.

HC Gherdeina is the third club after Neumarkt and Milan to book their ticket to the semi-finals in Serie A2. HC Meran, however, caused a surprise in Eppan on Wednesday evening and took the lead in the best-of-five series.
