On the fifth match day, leaders Kaltern had to bite the bullet of losing for the first time this year. In the penalty shootout, the “Hechte” lost out against Neumarkt. The Überetscher remain leaders in the second league with 12 points. Due to physical problems, the home team had to play Markus Kofler in defense, while Manuel Gamper was missing up front due to a suspension (two match days). Michael Sullmann scored 61 seconds before the end of regular time. David Stricker converted the decisive penalty.

Jarno Mensonen, meanwhile, was able to make full use of everything. Eppan took control of the match after the first face-off, but the Überetscher team were unable to score in the first 20 minutes. Meran sought salvation in counterattacks, but could not overcome Demetz. The first goal would only come in the second third. It was Stefan Palla who shot the home team into the lead after 29.21:58 minutes with one man more on the ice. Thanks to a strong third period, WSV Vipiteno celebrated an important 4-1 away win at Pergine on Friday evening and moved within two points of leaders Kaltern. Vipiteno and Pergine were able to tackle the match almost completely. Only Vipiteno had to specify one player, namely defender Luca Scardoni. The match started with a high rhythm. The enthusiasm was rewarded after less than 12 minutes when Derek Eastman was there and scored to make it 1-0 for the guests. But after the first break, Pergine struck back again in the middle of the third when Lorenzo Casetti overcame Vipiteno goalie Corsi and equalized. In the last part of the game Sterzing ignited the turbo. After just 31 seconds, Patrick Mair gave the Wild Horses the lead again before the same player made it 3-1 less than three minutes later. In the 46th minute, Daniel Erlacher made it 4-1. Things got hectic again in the final phase when the referee gave six time penalties just under two minutes before the end - but nothing changed about the Broncos' clear away win. For Pergine it was already the third defeat in a row.

Bolzano skillfully stood up to the more strongly rated Val Gardena and took the lead with the first chance when Jasecko overcame goalie Grossgasteiger. When Albarello sat in the cooler near Bolzano, Val Gardena struck back. Niklas Anger was there in the 18th minute. And even before the first siren, Anger put the guests in front. Three seconds before the siren, Anger Platè lost out. EV Bozen tried hard in the second half of the game and put in a lot of effort in the ice wave, but 84 seconds before the second break in the game Benjamin Kostner made it 3-1. This meant that a preliminary decision had been made. In the final third, Val Gardena did what was necessary and cleverly controlled the match.
