Series A2: Neumarkt wins the derby and tops the table

HC Neumarkt won the derby against SV Kaltern on Friday evening and is now greetings from the top in Serie A2. Manuel Bertignoll opened the scoring in the 3.35 minute, while Pontus Moren equalized just a little later to make it 1-1. Shortly before the first third siren, Alex Andergassen gave the home team the lead for the first time. However, after halftime, the Wild Geese turned the game around and made it 5-2 within ten minutes with goals from Markus Simonazzi (two goals), Michael Sullmann and Matteo Peiti. This result remained the same.

Meran surprises HC Gherdeina

In the Passerstadt, the home team celebrated a 5-3 home win against HC Gherdeina on Friday. In the first third, Rizzi and Turon created a two-goal lead. At the end of the middle third, however, Dylan Stanley brought the guests from Val Gardena back into the game with a double strike. In the last period of the game, the Val Gardena team had the lead for the first time after a goal from Birnstill, but Franz Josef Plankl equalized shortly afterwards to make it 3:3 and Flavio Faggioni hit the puck into the net to make it 4:3. When the Val Gardena team took goalie Mark Demetz off the ice in the final minutes, Taggart Desmet fixed the final score at 5:3.
