Series A2: Top games in Meran and Eppan

The Überetscher started the season with mixed feelings: the opening win against EV Bozen was followed by a home defeat against Val Gardena. Now it is important to eliminate the deficits, such as the lack of taking advantage of opportunities, in order to return to winning ways in Pergine on Friday. However, the away trip will take place without Coleman, who is out of action with an abdominal muscle injury.

Kaltern Rothoblaas

For the SV Kaltern players, the coming weekend is likely to be one of the most difficult of the entire season: With the away games in Wolkenstein and Milan, the “Hechten” face two serious tests on Friday and Sunday, respectively, from which the new Kalter coach Laylin can draw numerous conclusions becomes.

HC Neumarkt fully lived up to its demands in the first two championship games and showed why the “Wildgänse” are among the narrowest circle of title candidates this season. After all, the Wilson team has put two ambitious rivals in their place: Val Gardena and Milan. With the signing of Ciresa and the contract extensions of numerous top performers, such as Pellettier, Perna and Donati, those responsible for the club have shown a good hand.

Neumarkt and Val Gardena are the opponents of EV Bozen next weekend. Despite the two opening defeats, the Talferstadt team have shown that they are no longer a points supplier this season. Due to the failures of Pancheri and Volcan, Andrea Gorza, Andrea Strazzabosco and Michele Stevan from farm team partner Asiago are expected to temporarily join the blue and whites.

HC Gherdeina

With the away win in Eppan, the Val Gardena players made up for the 1:8 defeat against Neumarkt. Now, however, Erwin Kostner's team has to ensure stability - ideally with two wins against Kaltern and EV Bozen. The Ladins will line up with the best players, and we can particularly look forward to the performance of Gabriel Vinatzer after he gave a real test of talent against Eppan with two goals and an assist.

Meran Nils

Undoubtedly one of the surprises at the start of the season is the previously undefeated HC Meran. Coach McKay's young team now wants to prove themselves again in the coming days against Kaltern and Pergine. The Canadian coach will again rely on goalkeeper Charles Corsi, who made a strong impression in his first 120 minutes of action in Italian ice hockey. However, the use of defender Huber is questionable.

Hockey Milano Rossoblù

After the convincing opening win, the Milanese team were brought back to reality with the defeat in Neumarkt. Particularly painful: Edoardo Caletti sustained an injury in the Würth Arena and has to take a break for around 45 days. The star ensemble from the Lombardy metropolis will also have to do without Manuel Peruzzo in the away game against Meran and the following match against Kaltern. Nevertheless, Milan will approach these two games as heavy favorites.

Pergine Solarplus

With the courageous performance against Kaltern, league newcomer Pergine also seems to have definitely arrived in Serie A2. The first goal of the season by Manuel Accarino should give the Trentino team self-confidence for the next two games against Eppan and Neumarkt, even though the grapes are very high against the two top South Tyrolean teams.
