Serie A2: Vipiteno wins pursuit duel against Neumarkt 5:4

Today a first preliminary decision was made in the fight for second place in the table. Sterzing narrowly won the duel against the heavily decimated Neumarkt team with 5:4 goals and is now three points ahead of the Unterlanders in the rankings, but still has to observe the rest day. The Broncos' remaining program includes the away game in Turin, while Neumarkt is visiting Val Gardena on Friday and has to go to Meran on the last match day.

Merano, who had no trouble against EV Bozen today and even won in double digits: the final result was 10:3, the most successful goalscorer was Lars Pontus Moren, who scored four goals.

Eppan without Mike Ellis shoots Turin off the ice HC Eppan also achieved a similarly high score against Turin. The “Pirates” won with 9:3 goals and consolidated fourth place in the table. It was the A2 champions' first game without coach Mike Ellis, who was fired yesterday. On Friday at the away game in Milan, Finn Jari Helle will be behind the boards for the first time.

Val Gardena had no trouble against Kaltern and won 3-0. The two-goal scorer was Greg Watson, who has scored in all but one of the last eight games. He has scored a total of 27 goals in the championship so far.
