For Stefan Zisser, the missed goal is no excuse for the defeat. “We don’t need to cry over the point. That's no use at all. The referees have made a decision that must be accepted. Point and out. We have to look for the faults within ourselves. We are far too generous with our opponents,” says Stefan Zisser, a veteran at the Foxes.

Eleven games until the end of the regular season The basic round of the EBEL ends on January 12th. On this day the Foxes are in action in Dornbirn. Until then, HCB Südtirol still has eleven matches to play. Eleven games in which every point counts.

And Bolzano is having a hard time at the moment. Especially if the game doesn't end during regular time. The Talferstädter lost against Dornbirn for the seventh time after extra time or a penalty shootout. By the way, Bolzano always lost in penalty shootouts - and that's a total of five defeats. “We have to learn to take penalties. Seven counters left behind is a lot. That's too high a toll. Against Dornbirn we gave away two pucks, which led to a counterattack and as a direct result a goal. “That shouldn’t happen,” warns Zisser.

Foxes have to play seven away games In the next eleven games, the Italian record champions will have to play abroad seven times. Let's start with the games in the east, i.e. against Znojmo and Fehervar. The match against Salzburg is on December 26th, before Laibach comes into the ice wave on December 27th. This is just the beginning of the hot dance, which ends on January 12th with the last match day of the regular season.

“We now have to think game by game. That may sound banal, but we shouldn't start calculating now. Our goal can only be to reach the Master Round. Everyone praises us, but all that matters is the next game. We collected 43 points. But if we don’t get into the Master Round, then everything will be in vain,” concluded Zisser.
