Despite being 0-2 behind, Eppan beat Neumarkt 3-2 after extra time on Wednesday evening and increased the series to 3-1. This gives the Pirates their first match point on Friday to secure their place in the final. Both teams were able to make the most of the fourth semi-final match. Mensonen again preferred Patrick Wallenberg and sent Tuomo Harjula into the stands. Meanwhile, Kivelä was able to rely on Giulio Bosetti. The guests had more of the game in the early stages, but the Wild Geese were unable to take advantage of two outnumbered situations to their advantage. Somehow the pirates saved themselves over time and when they were full again, they bravely stood up to Neumarkt. The second 20 minutes were much more exciting. The guests took the lead in the 24th minute through Michael Sullmann. Bertignoll and Co. weren't satisfied with this one goal and made it 2-0 after around half an hour. This time Dylan Stanley was there. The ex-Ev-Bozen player even scored when he was outnumbered. The second goal really spurred the Pirates on, who hit back just 74 seconds later with captain David Ceresa. The hosts kept their foot on the accelerator even after the break and were desperate to score an equalizer. After surviving a power play unscathed, the Pirates struck with Philipp Jaitner. After 47.02 minutes he was able to equalize for Eppan. The home team then looked for a decision in regular time, but were unable to force the third goal in the final third. In extra time, Neumarkt's Sullmann had to go into the cooler after 1.42:3 minutes. Eppan was unable to capitalize on the power play, but made the decision shortly after the penalty time expired.
