U20 World Cup: Italy celebrates a victory at the start

Italy started the game strongly and already had field superiority in the first third. But despite a goal ratio of 14:6, the attackers failed to score. That changed in the middle third when Marcello Borghi scored 24.56-1 for the Italian U0 team after 20 minutes. Alex Frei provided the assist for this goal. A little later a similar situation with roles reversed. This time the Milan attacker shone as an assist provider, and Frei made it 2-0. At this point, Novotny was in the penalty box.

The Italian team led by Coach Polloni controlled the action on the ice and scored again 46 seconds before the end of the middle third. This time Michele Stevan was on hand to deflect Alex Trivellato's shot into an unstoppable position, thus deciding the game.

Not much happened in the third third, Italy was in control of the game at every moment. There was still a shutout to record for the “Azzurri” goalkeeper, South Tyrolean Martin Rabanser.

U20 World Cup: Italy celebrates a victory at the start

At the U20 World Cup in the 1st Division, Group B, in Donetsk, Ukraine, the “Azzurri” started with a 3-0 win against Croatia. Ritten Sport attacker Alex Frei, among others, was included in the list of goal scorers.
