Viktor Schweitzer will be a Bolzano player – an attractive test match program

What has been in the air for some time is now official: offensive player Viktor Schweitzer will be spinning on the HCB's wings in the future. At 25 years of age, HC Pustertal's homegrown player has a chance to play in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League.

Schweitzer spent most of his career with the Pusterer Wölfe, and his curriculum also includes a few appearances with the farm teams Kaltern (10 games) and Meran (24 games / 5 points). Since 2013 he has been an integral part of the Puster fighting team, for which he has now played around 300 games. Striking: In 299 games for HC Pustertal, Schweitzer scored 68 points - 61 of which only came in the last three seasons.

Reason enough for HC Bozen to give the young winger a chance to prove himself in the EBEL. “For me, this is a milestone in my career,” were the first words of the new HCB attacker. “The year in the AHL made me grow, now I want to take advantage of the opportunity in the state capital.” Alongside Daniel Glira, Schweitzer is the second Puster player in the Bozen team.

Coach Pat Curcio is enthusiastic about the striker: “Schweitzer is one of the most interesting players in Italy. He’s physically strong and a good ice skater – I’m sure he can help us.”

Intensive test game program Before the first puck drop in the EBEL, an extensive test game program awaits the HCB. In total, Egger and Co. will be on the ice seven times in the preseason. There will also be the big classics against Asiago, Ritten and Pustertal.
