Wolves put an end to the fright of the favorites - Ritten's revenge

In the final section it was Bouchard who made it 3-1 after just two minutes – the decision. Because even though Val Gardena came close again after Shane Sims scored on the power, the Wolves didn't let anything go wrong.

Sterzing slides into a debacle towards the bottom Disillusionment has set in at the Broncos Vipiteno. After the three-week break, the Broncos cruised to a 5-1 win over Fassa just in time for Christmas - but the celebrations were promptly followed by a sobering hangover. The Vipiteno team didn't have much going for them against bottom-placed Cortina. Although Hughesman & Co. took the lead in front of their own crowd through Jason Walters (9:04), they conceded the equalizer through Gellert right at the start of the second period and even had to run behind after Wunderer's goal (25:05). Adam Hughesman was able to equalize in the meantime (34:18). In the last section, however, all the dams broke for the Vipiteno team and Cortina let off steam at will.

Buam take cup revenge After the surprising 1:3 defeat three days ago, Ritten showed his best side again. The guests from Valpellice were sent home with a blatant 1:7 defeat - Brendan Cook opened the scoring with a brace in the first third, after which the target shooting continued happily. This victory should act as a balm on the Ritten hockey soul, after all Valpellice knocked the Buam out of the competition in the semi-finals of the Italian Cup.

The 23rd matchday of the Italian ice hockey Serie A was played on St. Stephen's Day. There was pure excitement in Bruneck's Rienz Stadium: HC Pustertal was able to narrowly beat HC Gherdeina 3-2 at their home stadium.
