Toothless foxes in Hungary

As a reminder: The HCB is in second to last place in the EBEL table, Fehervar is at the bottom. Nevertheless, the White Reds couldn't find their way into the game, and after ten minutes the Hungarians took the lead through Janos Hari. The statistics speak for themselves: Fehervar shot eight times at the Bolzano goal, the Foxes only had three shots at the opponent's goal.

In the middle third the HCB showed its first sign of life and was the clearly superior team with 20:7 shots on goal. However, nothing worthwhile came of it, the second third ended goalless.

The Füchse's storm continued in the final third, but they were unable to convert their clear superiority on the ice into goals. In the end, the 3020 spectators in Fehervar saw the Hungarians' second victory in a row.

The HCB clearly won the first leg in the ice wave in mid-September 7-2. On Sunday the foxes will be guests in Zagreb.

The HCB Südtirol put on a poor performance in Fehervar. The Foxes suffered a 1-0 defeat on Saturday evening. However: Neo-goalie Matt Climie was not in the box due to injury, but that was not the only reason for the defeat.
