Second win for Toros Neftekamsk

The Danes competed today with their best line-up and fielded the team that lost to Bolzano on Friday. The Russians, however, were missing Alexander Goroshanskiy. The Toros striker was injured yesterday against Landshut. Like the day before against Bozen, Herning tried to surprise the Russians with a lightning start, but was thwarted by goalkeeper Sokhatskii. In the 2.45 minute, Toros Neftekams took the lead with Kostantin Bogdanovsky. Afterwards the Russians, who made a very strong impression, especially in the power play, missed several chances to make it 2-0. Nikita Tsirulev also scored the second goal, but a few moments after the final siren sounded. That's why the referees rightly didn't give it.

In the middle third, Todd Bjorkstrand's team used a double advantage to equalize. Lasse Lassen deflected a shot from former Valpellice defender Mitch Ganzak in the 24.15 minute to make it 1-1. The strong Danish goalkeeper, Lubos Pisar, then saved the tie with a brilliant save on a shot from Sergey Sentyurin at the break.

The Russians decided the game in the final third. In the 41.08 minute Maxim Frolov defeated Pisar with a powerful shot to make it 2-1. Three minutes before the end of the game, captain Anatoly Stepanov finally closed the bag and scored after an assist from Sergey Sentyurin to make the final score 3-1.
