0-1 home defeat: Virtus Bozen continues to fumble

The Lomi team showed a committed performance against the fifth-placed team, but, as so often this season, left the pitch empty-handed. In the opening phase there were good opportunities on both sides, but they were too imprecise or were destroyed by the attentive goalkeepers Tenderini (Virtus Bozen) and Cavalieri (Virtus Bergamo). The people of Bolzano bravely stood up to the big favorites from Bergamo, but still fell behind in the 45th minute: When a cross from Germani came out, Tenderini, who was charging out, couldn't get to the ball, so Amodeo - lurking at the second post - headed the score to 1-0 could doze off for the guests.

After the break, the Talferstadt team pushed for an equalizer, but initially remained largely harmless. It was only in the last 20 minutes that Bolzano's attacking efforts became more concrete, but Niang's shots (73rd and 81st) didn't find their way into the goal either. Despite field superiority, the Lomi team didn't see anything countable - in the end the visitors remained narrowly 1-0.

After this new setback, Virtus Bozen - only three points away from a direct relegation zone - is still in 16th place in the rankings. The Talferstadters are eight points short of a safe place, i.e. a place outside the playout zone, with six game days to go.
