Bielefeld (SID) 1. FC Nürnberg missed the return to the top of the 2nd Bundesliga and has finally lost its footing on the way to the upper house. Six days after the defeat in the Frankenderby against SpVgg Greuther Fürth (0:2), the club lost 0:1 (0:0) at Arminia Bielefeld after conceding a late goal. Konstantin Kerschbaumer (90th) made the decision. After the third game in a row without a win, the Franconians are now in second place with 26 points behind Düsseldorf (45) after the 47th matchday. Fortuna can continue to pull away from MSV Duisburg on Sunday (13.30 p.m./Sky). Bielefeld (38), fourth in the table, is only two points behind the relegation place. In the duel on the Alm there were few chances to score in the first half and the club should have taken the lead. Adam Zrelak got the ball completely freely in the 23rd minute, but missed miserably in front of 18.542 spectators. The striker headed past the goal from a few meters. Arminia also had a good opportunity to take the lead in the second half. Keanu Staude shot from close range after a long corner kick, and FCN defender Georg Margreitter made a desperate save (59'). Even in the final phase, both teams were not compelling enough, when everything pointed to a draw, Kerschbaumer struck. For Bielefeld it was the first home win against Nuremberg in the 2nd Bundesliga.
