0-2 defeat in Pordenone: FC Südtirol's crisis continues to worsen

Already in the third minute, FC Südtirol had a good chance. Filehner broke into the penalty area and took a shot, but Pordenone goalie Careri was able to defuse it. In the 12th minute, Maccan gave the home team the lead with a low shot. The White-Reds were still shocked by the hosts' early lead when the next wave of attacks rolled in. Maracchi delivered a pass across the field directly into the penalty area. An uncontrolled fight for the ball developed. Maccan took advantage of this confusing situation again and made it 2-0.

As the game progressed, the FCS increased the pressure and effort, but the necessary bit of luck was missing. In the 34th minute, Mladen beat goalkeeper Careri with a sure free kick, but the ball hit the crossbar and went back. But Pordenone also remained dangerous. In the 40th minute, Migliorini tried to sink a low shot across the grass, but Melgrati was wide awake and blocked the ball without any problems.

After the half-time break, Mister Sormani reacted and replaced Marras and Furlan with Novothny and Branca. The change soon had an effect. In the 50th minute, Fiwickeler got the ball in midfield, ran to the edge of the penalty area and tried a diagonal shot, which Careri was able to defend with difficulty while diving. The ball landed at Novothny's feet, but he shot the ball weakly into Careri's arms. Fischlerler had to miss another chance in the 74th minute. Two minutes later, Mazzitelli hit Maracchi hard and had to leave the field with a yellow-red card. The FCS played the last 15 minutes outnumbered, but nothing changed in the result. In the final minutes Mladen also saw red.
