1st Amateur League | Alex Feltrin is on fire: Let the coach do it

Taufers against Albeins, third against fourth, one title favorite against the other title favorite: Yes, the cracker in the B circle of the 1st amateur league had more fuel to offer than some firecrackers on New Year's Eve. In the end, “Olbis” narrowly prevailed 2-1 – even though Taufers had taken a 1-0 lead through Hofer in the first half. After the break, Alex Feltrin made his big appearance: he needed 120 seconds between minutes 61 and 63 to turn the result on its head with a brace and shoot Albeins to a 2-1 victory. Striking: There were two “Feltrinian” goals that he scored, i.e. alone in front of the goal, from a suspicious position and therefore a little dirty.

Nevertheless, we came to two conclusions: In front of the goal, the striker, who for years scored goals on the assembly line at Eppan in the league, is still as stylish as he was in the selfie poses in the obligatory victory photos in the Albeinser dressing room (see Cover photo). And: Even in the position of player-coach, which he took over in Albeins this year after many years as an “active player”, the 35-year-old scores from all positions, as highlighted by six goals this season and sole leadership in the top scorers list in the B district. The coach is still on fire.
