1st Amateur League: Visiting the dentist

Daniel Lahner made sure that the zero number turned into a memorable game. The goalie from Pichl Gsies wasted more chances against USD Brixen than Menderes Bagci in “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” and saved two penalties. Lahner anticipated the corner in both Lukas Acherer's and Maximilian Stefani's attempts and defused the balls with the right mix of foot use, reaction and the necessary luck.

A look at the statistics proves that going to the penalty spot is just as entertaining for the opposing strikers with Lahner's presence in the Pichl-Gsies box as a visit to the dentist: the goalie was able to save three of the four penalties awarded. Only Schabs player Florian Oberhauser managed to give the Puster goalkeeper the advantage from the ominous point. An impressive record that Lahner has to show - and which will probably give one or two strikers a headache... a toothache in the future.
