1st Amateur League: Until the bitter end

Admittedly, the situation doesn't look very rosy for the Vinschgers, who are currently in last place in the A district, with four games to go, as the gap to the rescue bank is an impressive six points.

Kastelbell Tschars is not thinking about giving up, as it became clear once again on Sunday. Against Latsch, second in the table, they were trailing 1-2 until the fourth minute of stoppage time, before veteran Ewald Kiem made his big appearance, left his central defender position, went into the attack, plucked a cross from the sky and put the ball dry as dust for the second :2 equalizer went into the net.

Striking: This was the third time in the current second half of the season that the Vinschgers team scored one or more points with a stoppage-time goal. It was enough to win against Aldein and Sarntal and draw against Latsch.

In short: After the first half of the season with only three points from 13 games, relegation for Kastelbell was about as realistic as the Transformers film series, but now the Vinschger team structure is once again radiating some sparks of hope.
