1st Amateur League: Sarner Blut never loses courage

Admittedly: Sarntal didn't have much going for it in the first half against Auer. There was the negligent “billiards game” in their own penalty area, which left the Sarner team 0-1 behind after just a few minutes after five unsuccessful attempts to clear the ball. There would be a red card for goalie Stecher, who was allowed or had to enjoy the warm shower water after half an hour due to an emergency brake. And because all that wasn't bad enough, Auer-Schlitzohr Dreni surprised the young substitute goalie Philipp Nussbaumer just two minutes after he came on with a corner that went straight into the goal. 0:2, one man less - yes, not even the training partner of an irritable Mike Tyson had to take that much beating in such a short time.

But Sarntal showed his claws once again, got up in the locker room and came onto the field as if transformed. Within seven minutes, Moser (after fine preparatory work by Armin Stuefer) and Armin Stuefer himself (after a long shot from goalie Nussbaumer) made it 2-2. The fact that this result remained was due, on the one hand, to Sarner's lack of coolness in front of the opposing goal, but on the other hand, to the strong Auer goalie Schmid, who, for example, used a brilliant reflex to fend off a shot from a meter away shortly before the end.

Nevertheless, a welcome point for the Sarner team, who experienced a major upheaval in the summer, had to let go of nine proven players and will fight to stay in the league this year. Sarner Blut, as it became clear at the weekend, doesn't lose heart so quickly.
