Kaltern's striker ace Peter Mair may have felt a bit like an expectant and therefore nervous daddy shortly before the birth of his first child lately: he ran, did, did what he could, also prepared diligently - but the personal goal... errr Offspring made him fidget. Until the redeeming day finally comes.

Mair waited nine games or 628 minutes for his new club Kaltern to score - and then he scored three goals against Neumarkt. Whether with a fine chip, after a well-executed counterattack or with a well-placed shot into the far corner - he scored as usual from him. So the knot not only burst, it even exploded. The former Serie D and Oberliga striker, who moved from Meran to Kaltern this summer, gave himself an early present for his 31st birthday, which he celebrated on Monday.

Also worth mentioning: With his three goals, Mair now has 158 goals to his name. In addition to the 78 goals with hometown club Lana, he also netted 22 times in Serie D (at St. Georgen, Mezzocorona and Sambonifacese) and at Naturns (45 goals in three and a half seasons) and in Meran (ten goals in the second half of last season). And since Sunday he has also scored his first goals in the Kalterer SV jersey.
