10 professional teams visiting: The training camps at a glance

The most popular destinations for the professional clubs this year are once again the upper Vinschgau, the Wipptal and the Bruneck area. With Scavone's club Parma, Genoa and Sassuolo, three Serie A teams have announced that they will be preparing for the season in the coming weeks, and just as many clubs from the Bundesliga - namely Augsburg, Nuremberg and cup winners Frankfurt - will be sweating in the South Tyrolean sun until the beginning of August.

There are also FC Ingolstadt from the 2nd Bundesliga, FC Südtirol and the German third division club Unterhaching, who will arrive in Silandro on Tuesday.

The big highlight for local football fans awaits at the end of the training camp phase: The newly crowned Europa League winner and Spanish runner-up Atlético Madrid will train for a week at the beginning of August in the Reiperting sports zone in Reischach.

A total of ten professional teams are traveling to South Tyrol to prepare for the season - one more than last year. Trentino is similarly popular and, in addition to Napoli, is home to another eight clubs from Italy's two highest leagues over the summer.
